The injection device has a fuel filter between fuel feed pipe and injection nozzle. The fuel filter is an edge filter and is formed by filter edges (11) between the only guide face (9) of a nozzle needle (4) and the inner wall (10) of the injector housing (1). The filter edges are located near the valve seat (5) of the injection nozzle (6).
