The adapter for testing circuit boards comprises testing needles (7) and guide plates (2, 3, 4, 5) which form two units (12, 16) consisting of one or several guide plates. The guide holes (6) of all guide plates of each unit are arranged in the same pattern. At least one of the two units are laterally movable relative to one another in such a way that the respective guide holes for a given testing needle can be aligned in pairs. Also claimed is a testing needle (7). Such a needle is provided with at least one hinge section.
