Fully automatic closure machine for bucket-shaped containers esp. hobbocks has container conveyor and magazine for lids and clamping rings, and lid placing and closing sections

The machine closes e.g. hobbocks (1,2,3,4) using lids (10) locked by clamping rings. It has a conveyor (8) to move open containers in a line (9) into a lid placing section (B) with magazine (C) for lids and clamping ring closures. An advance unit (21) moves a lid from the magazine and places it on the container opening, and then places a clamping ring (S) with closure (V) on it. The machine has a closure section (D,E,F) behind the lid placing section, with a unit (31) to align lid and closure. Another unit presses the lid into the upper edge of the container, and then closes the clamping ring around the container edge.
