Appliance for heating solid matter fluid beds incorporates a combustion chamber (2) under the burner-grille (1) for generating flue gas which is conveyed in a pipe (3) directly to the burner cluster (4) in the form of a calotte shell and above the burner grille. A cooling air pipe (5) is radially inserted into the flue gas pipe and contains an extra coaxial fuel supply pipe (6). The mixture of flue gas, cooling air and extra fuel is directly conveyed by means of outlet ducts (7) from the burner cluster into the fluid bed.
