Automotive suspension for single wheel comprises bellows type spring supported to body work via mechanical spring with bellows working volume linked via choke to accumulator.
The spring element (1) is designed as a rolling bellows (5) and is supported against the bodywork by a mechanical spring (4) which lies in line with the bellows and has a progressive characteristic. The mechanical spring is of the cone or stack type or as a coil spring and the hydraulic working volume (7) of the bellows is connected to the hydro-accumulator (6) through a choke point (14) in the form of a variable throttle. The working volume (7) can be varied by means of an activated supply connection (15). The two springs (1,4) overlap and join in the design position.
