The louver has at least one slat (2) turning on its longitudinal axis, and possessing a hollow profiled section (12) in the middle between two end pieces. The hollow profiled section has an axial duct (10) for holding lateral support pins (9) and edge-side thrust strips (3). The axially pointing edges of the sheet metal are joined by a fold positioned outside the double-walled thrust strips. Inward--pointing, facing, double-walled arms are formed on at least one side wall of the hollow profiled section.
