The circuit has the input voltage (Ui) connected to the non-inverting input of a feedback operational amplifier (O) relative to a reference voltage. The inverting input (N) of the operational amplifier is connected to a parallel circuit (C5, R5) of a capacitor and a resistor relative to reference potential and an amplitude-limited output voltage (Ua) can be tapped from the inverting input of the operational amplifier. Independent claims are also included for the following: a receiver, an audio compander system, a cordless microphone and a transmission system, especially for cordless transmission of audio signals.
