The method involves a control unit checking whether a memory address was written into a memory area associated with an initial data element representing a control parameter for each access to a control parameter and, if so, accessing the new data in this area, otherwise accessing an initial data element. For each access to a control parameter the control unit checks whether a memory address was written into an associated memory area and, if so, accesses the new data in this area, otherwise it access the initial data element.
