The print head has a planar arrangement of the print head and nozzle plate (2) perpendicular to the printing direction. The nozzle plate has rows and columns of nozzles with the rows at 3-6 degrees to the printing material's direction off motion. Each nozzle has an associated nozzle chamber connected together with ink carrying channels and tightly closed by a membrane. A perforated mask plate (9) is placed on the membrane (5) with the same pattern as the nozzle plate and conical holes (10) forming fluid pressure chambers (16) connected by overflow channels (15). The mask plate is closed by a further sealing membrane (11). A piezoceramic bimorph system (12,13) is mounted on the second membrane above the fluid chambers. Independent claims are also included for the following: a method of manufacturing an ink print head.
