The spring strut includes an adjusting device to change the pretensioning force of the strut's coil spring(15) and which is equipped with a spacer element(13) installed between a contact face(11) on the vibration damper(1) and contact face(9) on the spring seat(5), and fixed by the force of the coil spring. The spacer element is formed by one or more rings lying one upon the other and through which a different height of the spring support and a different spring pretensioning without alterations on the spring seat and on the vibration damper is made possible.
