Device comprises upper and lower cases with a swivel connection between the two. The compact disk or DVD (1) is fixed on an insertable element within a hollowed out receiving region. A sprung element (17) is located at the outer rim of the receiving element and a further counter sprung element (17) is placed at a distance from it so that the disk is braced between the two. A release button (13) is used to free the disk when it is to be removed from the case.
