Mincer comprises a screw conveyor (9) and a cutting assembly consisting of a cutter (3) arranged after the screw conveyor, a further cutter (4) arranged after the cutter (3), a perforated disk (7) arranged after the cutter (3) at a fixed distance, and a driven knife (6) arranged between the cutter (4) and the perforated disk. The cutting assembly is held against the screw housing using a locking nut (10). The distance between the cutter (3) and the perforated disk is greater or the same as the axial distance of the knife and the cutter (4). The knife is positioned on the drive shaft (11) and the cutter (4) is positioned so that it moves axially in the housing. The knife is pressed against the perforated disk by a first pressure element (1) and the cutter (4) is pressed against the knife by a second pressure element (2). An independent claim is also included for the use of the mincer.
