The method involves changing the protocol of the communication port of a digital signal processor into the extended capabilities port (ECP) protocol of the parallel personal computer port. This is carried out using a combination of formal and reverse nibble counters connected to a multiplexer and a latch respectively. An Independent claim is also included for an arrangement for practicing the coupling method.
