The CAD program calculates a complete line network of a process during the drawing of a particular line system e.g. sanitation, with the possibility of switching between other line systems without restarting the CAD program. The calculation for sanitation drawing is stopped to begin calculation for heating or ventilation. The basic plan of the chosen line system fades into the foreground for processing corresponding calculations, using a mouse as main input device. The CAD program determines the necessary line cross-sections and their amounts in preparing conductor plans.
