The windscreen wiper drive has a drive rocker (10) fixed to a pivoting drive shaft. A connecting rocker (14) is connected to the drive rocker by a drive link (16) and to a support rocker (18) by a support joint (20). The support rocker is mounted on a blind joint (22). A windscreen wiper arm (26) is connected to the connecting rocker by a joint (28). A pressure spring (30) holds the wiper arm in position relative to the coupling arm and a balance joint (24) arranged on one of the rockers. A balance spring (34) is provided on the balance joint.
