Monitoring transmission quality in cellular radio communications system with simple acquisition of transmission quality data

The method involves detecting the range of use of individual codec modes by filtering this information from the data traffic and collecting it in statistics (S1,S1',S2) related to the geographic sub-region of the radio communications system contg. the cell (Z1,Z1',Z2). The statistics for each coded mode detect a parameter corresp. to the frequency of transmission of a control command for use of that mode.
