A process for the transfer of a pattern on to textiles by heat comprises use of a transparent, heat-resistant and moisture stable transfer film coated on one face with a microfiber, cellulose powder and/or acrylate dispersion containing material upon which coating a color pattern is applied; and a fixing film that melts at a lower temperature than the transfer film. A process for the transfer of a pattern on to textiles is characterized by: (A) a transparent, heat-resistant and moisture stable transfer film (1) coated on one face with a microfiber, cellulose powder and/or acrylate dispersion containing material upon which coating (2) a color pattern is applied; (B) a fixing film (4), that melts at a lower temperature than the film (1) and is prepared in essentially the same cross-sectional shape as the particular pattern; (C) laying the transfer film (1) is laid upon the textile (3) with its coated side downwards and the pattern covering area of the fixing film (4) between (1) and (3); and (D) fixing the patterned coating (2) onto the textile (3) by heating and melting the fixing film (4) and removing the transfer film (I). Independent claims are included for: (i) a transfer set comprising a transfer film (1), a coating (2) and fixing film (4); and (ii) a transfer film (1) having a coating (2).
