The motor has a rotor, especially in the form of a disc, carrying permanent magnets along a circle about a rotation axis and a stator with first and second coil rims in parallel planes with magnetic coils corresponding to the circle of permanent magnets. The rotor disc protrudes and rotates between the coil rims. The coil rims are arranged to align with the coils (13,13') of a coil pair. An additional coil rim in the plane of one coil rim is associated with a second circle of permanent magnets (15') on the rotor and has coils (13'') offset in angle relative to those on the co-planar coil rim.
