The motor vehicle's seat has an externally threaded rotatable component(10) in which during displacement of the adjuster a rotation is executed via the external thread screwing into a rotationally fixed housing(16). Through this the headrest(4) is repositioned via bowden cables(19,20). The rotatable component, in the form of a drive element(13) and threaded section(14), is constructed in such a way that with displacement of the adjuster, in the form of a guide rail(7) and seat upper rail(8), the headrest is shifted only over the distance defined by the longitudinal extent of the threaded section. An Independent claim is included for a procedure for the manufacture of a rotatable component in which the threaded section is produced by twisting a flat profile.
