The rolling mill (1) has a number of rolling stages (2) positioned one after the other along a straight line, each having at least 3 rollers positioned in a star configuration about a rolling axis and mounted on a segmental roller shaft. The rollers within each rolling stage are replacable without dismantling of the roller bearings or the rolling stage housing and the rolling stages themselves are also replacable individually or in groups.
