The microscope (1) has a fiber optic image conductor (7) and a focusing unit (8), which comprises two graded index (GRIN) lenses, where both the lenses have different focal lengths. The focusing unit is arranged at a distal end of the image conductor. The focusing unit exhibits adjustable focal length, which is adjusted by changing the distance of the lenses in an electrical, electro-optical or hydraulic manner. The focusing unit has a housing, which serves as a cover and as a support for both the lenses. An independent claim is included for a sealing arrangement including the metal flat seal.
