The spectacles has frame arms pivotable between end positions joined to a holder. The arms tend to snap into the other end position when a certain angle is exceeded with respect to the current end position. A bearing block attached to the holder has openings for a pivot axle connected to a frame arm, a cam or similar acted upon by a spring whose deflection it influences. Maximum deflection is reached with the arm midway between end positions. The spectacles has a glass holder (11) and frame arms (14) joined to the holder and pivotable between folded and extended operating positions. The arms tend to snap into the other end position when a certain angle is exceeded with respect to the current end position. A bearing block (12) attached to the holder has two bearing openings (131,132) or recesses for a pivot axle connected to a frame arm, which carries a cam or similar eccentric device acted upon by a spring (123) whose deflection it influences. The maximum deflection is reached when the arm is about half way between end positions.
