New terbinafine tablets and a regimen for the treatment of onychomycosis

Terbinafine tablets (250 mg) divisible into 4 equal parts each containing 62.5 mg of terbinafine are new. Independent claims are also included for: A) terbinafine mini-tablets for children containing 31.25 mg of terbinafine; and B) a regimen for the oral treatment of onychomycosis comprising: a) removal of the affected portion of nail; b) oral administration of terbinafine daily in a dosage of 250 mg for 1 week; c) withdrawal of the treatment for at least 3 weeks; and d) repetition of steps b) and c) procedure until the condition has been cured.
