The device has flexible lamella that hold the candle and that are designed so that they close over the residual part of the candle after the candle has burnt down. The lamella can be arranged radially with an accurate fit between the lamella cover (1) and a collection container (2). The holder can be used with a suspension rod as a Christmas tree candle holder.
