The gas duct(1) installed in the longitudinal direction of the engine has oppositely disposed inlet openings(3,4) at its closed end facing the gas generator and the principal axes(5,6) of which are located approximately perpendicularly to the principal axis of the gas duct. Each inlet opening has a rotatably mounted actuating element(8,9) which has a through-passage corresponding to the respective inlet opening and which by rotation completely or partially closes it. A coupling device effects the simultaneous the same or opposite sense rotational movement of the oppositely disposed actuating elements.
