The fixing is used for securing the seatbelt reel (10) to the automobile body and has a U-shaped housing for reception of the seatbelt reel, a fixing lug (12) provided with screw openings and an additional reinforcing plate (13), provided with corresponding screw openings (14) and an eleongate slot for fitting to the fixing lug, which lies between the reinforcing plate and the automobile body.
