The composite brick consists of a first(12) and a second(14) layer sandwiching insulating material(16). The brick layers and the insulating material are interconnected with form-locking provided by a grouting compound(24). The insulating material has protrusions(18) provided with an undercut(20) and which locate in cavities(22) in the brick layers and are sealed off by the grouting material.
