The timing gear cover (19), for an internal combustion motor, has a number of mounting eyes (24) visible from the inner (31) and outer sides and which lie between the side edges (29,30) on the line of a cylinder axis (27,28) of the cylinder crankcase (4). A second set of mounting eyes (25) is between the first set and the outer contour (26), at the stiffening ribs (33-40) on the surface (20). At least part of the stiffening ribs (33-40) form a grid structure (41) on the surface (20).
