Method for attaching sanding or polishing strips around a head or radially on a disk comprises applying the sanding or polishing material to strips of textile stuck to it and which are coated with adhesive. The adhesive is a moisture-curable, one component adhesive with a viscosity of at least 1.5 Mio mPas at 20 deg C. Independent claims are included for; (a) a rotary sanding or polishing head prepared as above; and (b) a device for producing the head consisting of a rotary cup into which the head fits, an adhesive dispenser, a distributing tube, a heater positioned upstream from its outlet and a cooler, especially an air cooler.
