Screen data memory areas store screen data for displaying map information. A map information control unit (2) enables the displaying of the screen data for displaying map information stored on a display screen. An information perusal control unit enables the displaying of the screen data for displaying general purpose information stored on the display screen. A partial screen data memory area stores the screen data for displaying general purpose information which can be used for general purpose information apparatuses. A display unit (7) includes the display screen to which predetermined information is performed. A random access memory (RAM) (12) includes the screen data memory areas which store the data for display on the display screen, and the screen data for one screen.
