The electroseparator has a pipe along which the gas stream is passed, its inner wall acting as a deposition electrode for the separated particles and cooperating with a central electrode (2) for providing a HV field. The central electrode has a first section (2A) with a reduced cross-section and a second section (2B) with an increased cross-section, respectively providing a corona and an electrostatic deposition field. The second section of the central electrode is hollow and coupled to the space between the electrode and the pipe inner wall, so that the clean gas flows through its hollow center.
