The assembly consist of an outer body side shell (1), and inner A-column shell (4) and an inner roof side shell (5), the front end section of which is connected to the rear end section of the A-column shell. All shells are connected at overlapping points by point welding. A stiffener element (8) is located in a closed space formed by body side shell and A-column shell or roof shell, and extends over the connection section of both inner shells. The stiffener element is also fastened by point welding.
