The thermal protection device includes a heating resistor (30) comprising a PCT element and arranged between a fixed plate (10) and a movable plate (41). The central region of the movable plate is provided with a U-shaped slot, forming a tongue (40). The tongue is directly fitted against an upper side of an upper electrode of the heating resistor, and a lower side of the lower electrode surface of the heating resistor is fitted against the fixed plate. Regions of the movable plate on both sides of the slot are formed as resilient sections.
