A grinding process and a dressing process are simultaneously carried out when a workpiece (1) comes in contact with a metal bonded grinding wheel (10). A weak non-conducting film is formed or removed on grinding particles bonding surface of the grinding wheel based on contact with the workpiece having electric conductivity. A voltage is applied between the metal bonded grinding wheel and the workpiece. A grinding lubricant having electric conductivity is supplied between the grinding wheel and the workpiece by a grinding lubricant supply device (14).
