A casing (4) has brush (5) and turbine (6) chambers. The brush chamber has a brush roller (11) whose bristles protrude through a suction slit (9). The turbine chamber has an air turbine (15) for turning the brush roller's driving mechanism. A suction airflow enters the turbine chamber through an inflow aperture (14), passing out of the turbine chamber through an outflow aperture (24) and flowing through the center (50) of the air turbine on its way from the inflow aperture to the outflow aperture. A turbine blade ring (21) has some ten to fourteen blades (20). An imaginary connection line (40) between the centers of the inflow and outflow apertures cuts the cross section of the air turbine as a secant (41). In a circle segment's (43) arc of a circle (42) divided by the secant there are four to six blades for the air turbine's blade ring.
