Control device for direct injection spark ignition type internal combustion engine, has catalytic activity control unit which activates catalyst at low temperature region
A catalytic activity control unit activates a catalyst (9) in a low temperature region based on divided fuel injection and an ignition timing. The divided fuel injection comprises injection of a partial fuel during intake stroke and remainder in compression stroke. The ignition timing are set in such a way that CO, O2 quantity in exhaust gas increase from start-up of engine to running condition.
