Cooling fan failure judging apparatus for hybrid vehicle, judges fan failure based on difference between calculated expected and actual temperature changes of battery

The apparatus comprises a calculation unit (63) to estimate the expected temperature change of the battery, based on the computed battery heating value and for cooling capacity. Actual temperature change of the battery, is detected by calculation unit (64). A judging unit (60) evaluates the failure based on the difference between the expected and actual battery temperature changes of battery. A cooling capacity calculation unit calculates the cooling capacity of fan. A heating value calculation unit is provided to estimate the heating value of battery.
