The scooter has two, three or more running wheels, a frame and a drive whose operation is managed via a sensing arrangement that switches the drive on and off in relation to the motive power when the maximum acceleration/speed is exceeded or when a decrease in acceleration/speed is detected. The drive is only switched on by activating a standing board switch by the weight of the rider. Independent claims are also included for the following: a roller skate or in-line skate.
