The covering consists of covering section (5) with a cross-section the size of the basin. The covering section has a surrounding section (6) and a holding device (7) for securing of the surrounding section to the basin edge. The surrounding section is partially covered with loops. The holding device has a specific frame whose elements are insertable together with the hoops. The size of the surrounding section may be such that covering section has a height in the basin that corresponds to prescribed filling height of the basin. The frame elements may be made from rods and/or pipes. The frame elements may, alternatively, be made from joinable and telescopically slidable segments.
