Copper content niobium/aluminum extra fine multicore super conductive wire for superconductors, includes copper and forms specific phase structure on rapid heating and cooling, which is additionally heat treated
The microcomposite core material of superconductive wire contains 2 atom % of copper or 10 atom% or less of copper-aluminum alloy in a matrix material of niobium, tantalum or their alloy. The core material is rapidly heated at more than 1700 deg C for 2 s or less at room temperature and cooled rapidly to form an A15 phase compound structure. An additional heat treatment is carried out at 650-900 deg C. An Independent claim is also included for manufacture of copper content Nb/Al extra fine multicore superconductive wire.
