Container and method for breeding zooplankton and phytoplankton, comprising semi-permeable partition

Zooplankton is highly valued as food for exotic fish as kept and displayed in an aquarium. The container is divided into a compartment for growing phytoplankton (1) and a second for breeding zooplankton (2). The partition (3) is made of a material (4) letting through the phytoplankton but impermeable for the zooplankton. All equipment can be adjusted in order to grow the amount of phytoplankton sufficient for feeding the zooplankton present in their own equipment facilitate the precise adjustment of the needs of the owner.
