The amount of ink quantity supplied to the zones adjacent to a given zone is equal to sum of correction ink quantity flow and ink quantity flow prescribed corresponding to nominal value of given zone. The amount of ink released by source for each zone corresponds to nominal amount prescribed to each zone in a time dependent manner so that constant ink quantity is maintained in given zone, when nominal value for given zone remains constant. When the nominal value is changed between two levels, the amount of ink supplied to a zone is changed to a value which is equal to the sum of correction ink quantity calculated with respect to preset rule based on the two levels of nominal value and amount of ink supplied to zone corresponding to finally changed nominal value.
