The method involves generating a first two-dimensional image for one eye of an observer by rendering a three-dimensional model and storing the colour information in a single-image buffer and the depth information in a Z-buffer. A second two-dimensional image is generated for the other eye based on the first two-dimensional image, the colour information stored in the buffer, and the depth information stored in the Z-buffer. The stereographic image is formed based on the first and the second two-dimensional images. An Independent claim is included for a computer-readable storage medium or processor for storing a program configured to perform the method.
