Combustion engine cylinder head has a sensor (6) for the indirect determination of the combustion chamber pressure. The measurement area (5) of the sensor is reserved for the sensor itself and designed at the design stage of the cylinder head. In this way the sensor is placed in an area that is largely free from mechanical and thermal effects that could affect the pressure measurement. The tension or deformation of the sensor head is related to changes in pressure and this is used to determine combustion chamber pressure.
