The device (1) has an outer cladding (2) with an electric vibrator (3) controlled by a switch element (6). The switch element has several electrical contacts (7,8) arranged on the outer side of the cladding and control electronics (5), for connection to the contacts, to control the intensity of vibrations. A rechargeable battery or power source is also arranged inside the cladding. Independent claims are included for a packaging for the massage device, and a device for charging the battery or accumulator of the massage device.
