A vehicle frame arrangement (10) has: - a number of components (11-17) which are connected together for the formation of a vehicle chassis frame. An energy-absorbing device (20) is provided on the vehicle frame arrangement. It includes a quantity of a fluid with rheological properties. The energy-absorbing device comprises first and second sections which define a hollow chamber. The fluid with rheological properties is located in the hollow chamber. At least one of the first and second sections has an outlet opening which is formed through here. A control device is provided to control the flow of the fluid through the outlet opening.
