The monitoring system comprises image taking devices (10) for input of an image of a monitored object. The image taking contains controls (10) for selecting the monitored image in dependence on an operational condition, or the degree of importance, or the danger state of the monitored object. - Interference detectors (220) pick-up interfering actions by comparison of the monitored image with a reference one. The interference and disturbances are evaluated by appropriate device (500) to obtain a decision of the disturbance type in dependence on the output signal of the detectors. The interference or disturbances are signalled by alarms (700) and indicator units (800).
