A method for determining the in the individual colors separately controlled quantities of copy light during the copying of color masters

An exposed and developed film (1) contains various negative copy items against which probable marks (1b) are made. These can e.g. be perforation holes. On the film path in a specific direction (A) a first probing device (4) e.g. in the form of a light barrier probes the marks and the signals are conducted via corresp. picture edges to a measurement converter (5). Furthermore, on the film path a length indicator (3) is arranged which contains a roller (3a) driven by the film and with a connected disc (3b). The disc has on its outer edge radially running, equally spaced slots, the passage of which is converted by a light barrier (3c) into film length-dependent impulses. The light barrier is connected to the measurement converter (5). The next following appts. on the film path is a light value indicator (2) contg. three rows of photo receivers, whose density values are transmitted to a memory and to a computer (8). USE/ADVANTAGE - To determine the amt. of copying light required for individual colours when copying coloured material the method recognises dominant colours and illumination colour tinges.
