New method (I) for the treatment of residues (II) from the incineration of domestic or industrial wastes by mixing them with an organic binder (III) comprises: (i) homogenising (II); (ii) carrying out a chemical analysis of (II) to determine how much of (II) is soluble and its water content; (iii) continually feeding (II) and (III) through an extruder in a proportion determined, in particular, by how much of (II) is soluble; (iv) mixing (II) and (III) at a temperature T2 determined, in particular, by the water content of (II), so as to coat (II) in (III); and (v) placing the resulting product in a cell. Also claimed is a device (IV) for the application of (I) comprising an extruder with a continuous feeds for (II) and (III) and a zone where (II) and (III) are mixed and heated. The feeds are preceded by an area where (III) is heated to a temperature T1, and another where (III) is mixed with a modifying agent (V), and are followed by an area where (II) and (III) are mixed at a temperature T1 so as to coat (II) with (III).
