摘要
Magnesium fluoride or analogous fluorides capable of undergoing the process, are vacuum-deposited onto the clean surfaces to be protected. They form a sealed, continuous anti-corrosion layer of required thickness. Preferred features: The surface is first cleaned. It is then subjected to a preparatory treatment effected under high vacuum. The anti-corrosion layer which is then applied, is relatively thin, preferably of the order of a few microns.
